From October, our completely redesigned and expanded Ayurveda area awaits you. Due to overwhelming demand, we will have additional treatment rooms, baths and relaxation rooms over two floors. The building will be constructed from locally produced, specially fired clay bricks and will therefore be modelled on the construction of our existing Ayurveda building.

The Ypsylon Resort was built on a plot of over 5 hectares and, with its current 39 rooms, offers more than enough space for all guests and visitors. Our newly designed lobby is more than 600 square metres in size and invites you to read, inform yourself and stroll around.

The beach is back, the sun is blazing, the sea is clear and calm – what more could you want? The Ypsylon Resort stands for relaxation, recreation, delicious cuisine and traditional Ayurveda.

Every evening, always between 18:25 and 18:35, the sun sets directly in front of the Ypsylon Resort. And when there are no clouds, this is a breathtaking, recurring spectacle of unrivalled beauty.

Shortly after sunset, it stays light in Sri Lanka for about 30 minutes and then it can get pitch black. The lights come on and you can end the evening relaxing in our restaurant with delicious local and international specialities, all made from regional ingredients.

The restaurant was also included in the major renovation. It was re-tiled, freshly painted, the bar was remodelled and extended and new lamps and a sound system for tropical and contemporary sounds were installed. Like every year, our beach is sometimes more and sometimes less available due to the monsoon and tides. Sand is currently being washed up again and is increasingly covering our surf protection and more and more fine sandy beach is returning to Ypsylon Resort.

The seating areas have been given new surfaces, the ambient lights have been redesigned, new palm trees have been planted and the access path has been extended.
